After 2 years of dreaming, I’m finally pulling the trigger on a new Cervelo P3 Ultegra. Since I’m a bit of a Tribella fanboy, I chose Denver Fit Loft as the spot to do my bike fit. Daniel provided a great experience, spending a good 2 hours walking me through the process of getting comfortable on the Muve, taking measurements, making adjustments and more adjustment.
So as not to spoil the surprise for any of you looking to have a fit done, I won’t go into the gory details. I spend a fair amount of time on the bike, and this is the first time I really stopped to think about what it is I’m doing. I’ve never really considered how my pedal stroke will positively or negatively impact my ability to run after I get off the bike. I’m a terrible swimmer, though working hard to improve, but this year, I flopped hard on the run. Aside from wanting a cool new ride and all the benefits that come along with it, I really want to improve my run and one of the best ways to do that is to ensure I come off the bike in the best shape possible.
Though only part of the overall experience, I really got a kick out of the motion capture.
After a much needed vacation to Estes Park and Steamboat Springs, I brought the girls home this morning and was able to find time to pickup my new machine. I can’t wait to get it out on the road for a nice long ride tomorrow!
